What is the difference between the S and S Office cabins?
The S Office cabin has a bench seat with a 73 cm shelf (seated configuration). The S cabin has a high shelf at 103 cm (configuration more suited to standing work). Both cabins have the same exterior and interior dimensions.
Ranges, finishes, and customization
What is the Express range?
The Express version of the Essentielle cabins is prefabricated in our workshops with a wood finish and light gray fabric. This standardized configuration guarantees delivery within 15 days, while maintaining the quality and technical performance of the cabins. It meets the needs of fast-track projects and urgent requests.
What is the Custom range?
The Custom range is a tailor-made version. You can choose the color of the fabric, the interior panel, the exterior panel, and whether you want a glass back.
How can I customize my Essentielle cabin?
On each product page, you can customize the cabin before adding it to your cart. The available options include the color of the fabric, the color of the interior panel, the color of the exterior panel, and the glass back.
What colors are available in the Essentielle range?
Two fabric ranges are available.
- Range A – Elegance: 100% PES composition, Teflon treatment, weight 260 g/m², Martindale > 100,000 cycles (A2403, A2406, A2407, A2405, A2408, A2411).
- Range B – Gabriel Chili (M1 fire rating): 100% post-consumer recycled polyester, weight 336 g/m², Martindale > 60,000 cycles, M1 rating (B2421, B2423, B2425, B2427).
Connectors and equipment
What connections are available in the cabins?
The integrated socket block in the column offers a full range of connections: a 220V PC socket, two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, and an RJ45 port.
Can I charge my computer or phone in the cabin?
Yes. Each cabin is equipped with an integrated power strip with a 220V PC socket, two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, and one RJ45 port. Our cabins also offer an induction charger option for phones.
Is it possible to add a screen mount in the booth?
Yes, this is possible and available as an option. We recommend that you request this option when placing your order. Installing a screen can be complex, so we recommend that you leave it to Essentielle. Installation or modification by the customer may void the warranty, particularly if components are modified or damaged.
Manufacturing, eco-design, and certifications
Are the cabins eco-designed?
Yes. The booths meet strict eco-design criteria and have been awarded an Eco Impact A rating. This rating reflects a commitment to sustainable and responsible solutions.
Are the acoustic booths made from recycled materials?
Yes. The booths are designed with an eco-responsible approach aimed at limiting environmental impact while maintaining optimal acoustic performance. Recycled and recyclable materials are used to offer a sustainable solution, particularly for companies wishing to reduce their carbon footprint.
Are the booths manufactured in France?
Yes. The booths are certified Origine France Garantie, attesting to local manufacturing and excellence in craftsmanship. They are 100% manufactured and assembled in France, with a commitment to quality, sustainability, and the French economy.
Where are the sound booths manufactured?
All booths are manufactured and assembled in a 10,000 m² workshop located in the Drôme region of France. A team of 100 employees works there with state-of-the-art equipment and a regularly updated machine park.
Acoustic performance, ventilation, and comfort
What is the acoustic performance of the booths?
The booths have been evaluated according to demanding criteria. They offer an average speech reduction of -30.3 dB, making conversations discreet and intelligible only inside the booth. The measured acoustic insulation performance is -30.7 dB, ensuring a working environment free from external noise pollution.
Do the cabins in the Express range offer effective sound insulation?
Yes. Like all Essentielle booths, the Express range is designed to provide a quiet, private space suitable for confidential calls, meetings, or concentration. The insulation performance is measured at an average of -30.3 dB, which is ideal for use in open-plan offices.
Does the ventilation generate noise?
No. The ventilation is designed to be discreet, even silent during normal use. The fans are electronically controlled and have a 0 dB mode: when demand is low, they can shut down completely. When activated, the ventilation remains at a very low noise level, barely perceptible, even in a quiet environment.
How long does it take for the cabin to renew all the air?
The air is completely renewed in less than 40 seconds, maintaining ideal air quality and a constant feeling of freshness.
Does the air extraction system require any specific equipment on the customer's side?
No specific equipment is required. The air flow enters at ceiling level and exits at floor level, then rises behind the sides of the booth to be reinjected from above.
What is the light intensity in the acoustic booth?
The lighting can reach up to 800 lm thanks to a variable LED spotlight. The light is warm white 3000K for optimal visual comfort.
Can I adjust the light intensity?
Yes. A touch-sensitive dimmer allows you to adjust the light to 5 levels and also controls the ventilation.
Can I adjust the ventilation?
Yes. Ventilation can be adjusted via the same touch-sensitive dimmer switch, with 5 levels.
Are the booths "bunkers"?
An acoustic booth significantly improves sound comfort by effectively reducing noise pollution, without eliminating it entirely. Like a glass-walled meeting room, it reduces sound to enhance privacy and comfort. The busier the outside environment, the greater the perceived benefit.
Why choose an Essentielle acoustic booth?

Warranty and customer service
What warranty does Essentielle offer?
The booths come with a three-year warranty on manufacturing defects and a two-year warranty on electrical components, excluding normal wear and tear. The warranty does not cover stains or wear caused to fabrics by clothing dyes. It is void if the booth is not used under normal conditions. Any disassembly, reassembly, or modification of the booths will void the manufacturer’s warranty.

Rental, leasing, and second-hand
Do you offer a rental service?
Essentielle does not offer a rental service, either short-term or long-term.
Do you offer a second-hand service?
Yes. Used booths are offered as part of an eco-responsible approach, with the aim of reusing as many of the booths produced as possible.
Do you take back old booth models?
Yes, this is possible depending on the condition of the cabin.
Delivery, lead times, and assembly
What is the difference between standard and express delivery?
Express delivery takes 15 days (approximately 2 weeks). Standard delivery takes 42 days (approximately 6 weeks).
What is the delivery time for acoustic cabins?
For the Express range, booths are available within 15 days thanks to a standardized configuration, designed with the same care and quality standards in our workshops. For the standard range, the delivery time is 42 days (6 weeks).
Which acoustic booths are available for express delivery?
All booths for 1 to 4 people are available for express delivery, except for the XL booth (6 people).
Why is the XL booth not available for express delivery?
The aim of the Express range is to offer standardized products that can be delivered quickly. The XL booth is highly customizable (interior layout, solid or glass back on each side, etc.) and too large to be produced and stored in the factory in an “express” manner. It remains available for sale in its classic configuration.
How are the cabins delivered: already assembled or in kit form?
The cabins are delivered in kit form, in several boxes listing the different parts.
What is the size of the boxes? Will they fit in elevators?
The dimensions of the boxes are as follows:
S / S Office / M: H 222 × W 102 × D 120
L: H 222 × W 142 × D 120
XL: H 222 × W 166 × D 120
Compatibility therefore depends on the size of the elevators and the model chosen.
Who is responsible for installing the Express range cabins?
With the Sérénité package, Essentielle coordinates the entire process: transport and on-site installation by an approved team.
Who is responsible for installing the cabins in the Customized range?
With the Sérénité package, Essentielle coordinates the entire process: transport and on-site installation by an approved team.
How long does it take to install an Express cabin?
The installation times are as follows:
Model S: 40 minutes with 2 people.
Model S Office: 45 minutes with 2 people.
Model M: 60 minutes with 2 people.
Model L: 60 minutes with 2 people.
In which countries do you deliver the Essentielle range?
Delivery is mainly to France, Belgium, and England, and more broadly to other European countries. France remains the main area of coverage because most of the installers are based in France. Depending on the size of the projects, delivery abroad may be considered.
Daily use and installation
Can I easily move my acoustic booth?
Yes. A mobile base is available, with casters integrated into an extra-flat 2.8 cm base and adjustment jacks.
Can I change the direction in which the door opens?
Yes. The door is reversible: you can choose the opening direction.
What types of electrical outlets are required?
A standard outlet is sufficient for connecting and operating the booth. The power rating is 250V.
How much space should there be between the outlet and the cabin, and where does the power cable come out?
Allow 2 meters for a low outlet (at floor level, behind the column at the bottom). For a high outlet (at the top of the cabin, at the very top of the column), allow 3 meters.
What is the lifespan of the soundproofing?
There is no “fixed” lifespan for sound insulation. A booth remains efficient year after year. Acoustic performance varies mainly with wear and tear on the door and its seals. A booth used in good conditions retains its sound insulation over time.
Is there a door lock?
The Essentielle range favors a standardized configuration to maintain an excellent balance between performance, ease of use, and cost control. If you have a specific locking requirement, this is something that needs to be addressed on a case-by-case basis depending on your project.
How much energy does a cabin consume?
Consumption depends on several parameters, including settings (light intensity, ventilation level) and actual use by users. No fixed value per model is indicated.
What is the optimal location for an acoustic booth?
Acoustics is primarily a matter of perception: some people will find the booth perfectly quiet, while others will perceive a slight background noise. It depends on the environment in which it is installed.
For optimal results, test the booth in a furnished room (furniture absorbs sound!).
Place the booth more than 50 cm away from walls and glass partitions.
Leave a minimum distance of 10 cm from the ceiling, ideally 50 cm for better acoustic performance.
Allow 2 m at the front for the door to open, and leave 50 cm around the booth for better ventilation.

What is a showroom?
A showroom is a space where you can try out Essentielle acoustic booths.
Can I try out the booth before buying it?
Yes. You can try out the booth at your nearest showroom. Essentielle has more than 30 locations across France, England, and Belgium.
Do I need to make an appointment before visiting?
Yes, it is preferable.
In which French cities can I find an Essentielle showroom?
